About Course

Welcome to Grade 11 Chemistry at Dar Jana International School.

This free online course is designed to support your classroom learning with lesson resources, study materials, practice questions, worksheets, videos, review activities, and exam preparation.

During the course, we will explore four major areas of chemistry:

  • Chemical Equilibrium — reversible reactions, dynamic equilibrium, equilibrium constants, reaction quotient, and factors affecting equilibrium.
  • Thermodynamics — entropy, enthalpy, Gibbs free energy, temperature, and thermodynamic favorability.
  • Electrochemistry — oxidation and reduction, electrochemical cells, standard cell potential, and electrolysis.
  • Organic Chemistry — alkanes, cycloalkanes, alkenes, functional groups, and organic reactions.

Throughout the course, you will strengthen your scientific thinking, problem-solving, data analysis, laboratory skills, research, and scientific communication.

The course combines explanations, worked examples, independent practice, collaborative learning, laboratory investigations, research activities, and flipped-learning resources.

Course Resource: Chemistry, McGraw Hill, AP 14th Edition, together with laboratory resources, worksheets, educational videos, and digital learning materials.

Important: This course is provided free of charge for my students as an additional learning and revision resource.
